SendinBlue vs Aweber: Which one to choose?

An autoresponder is a very simple yet effective email marketing tool that lets you send a series of scheduled follow-up emails to your customers. These emails are based on very specific parameters that you set in your store. For example, you might need to send follow-up emails to all customers who have bought specific items from you.

Two of the most popular Autoresponders are SendinBlue and Aweber. In this Aweber vs SendinBlue blog, we will review both of these platforms in greater detail.

SendinBlue:

Through it, you can manage email campaigns, save time through automation, send text messages, and efficiently manage your business processes and keep in touch with your customers on a budget. Aweber:
Aweber is a privately held company that was founded in 1998 by CEO Tom Kulzer. He began his software engineering career and then saw a gap in automated response software for leads in the sales world and customer support. SendinBlue Review

In this SendinBlue review, we want to go in-depth with all the features that it comes with and how it benefits you and your business. You may go through all the features of this software through the following points of the SendinBlue review.

SendinBlue comes with a brilliant module for email automation that allows you to send emails based on the number of total triggers you may set. For example, you may send emails based on users’ behaviors in the shopping cart or even when they visit any specific page over your site or their day of birth, plus many more scenarios. You may also take everything up a notch and design the fully completed automation workflows based on the user’s interaction with the previous messages and other factors.

SendinBlue also comes with the SMS module that allows you to do more of the old-school direct outreach campaigns based on SMS messages. Lastly, they are growing on all social media modules currently allowing you to have Facebook ads created and released.

Design and Email Templates:

SendinBlue templates look a lot more modern and are overall quite attractive. They do not need that much work paid on the user’s part to make emails look fabulous. These templates are even ready for mobile use as well.

Ease of use

The user interface in SendinBlue is uniform. Your experience as a user is consistent as you move through different panels, from managing your list to creating campaigns and then sending them out. The email builder in this software is also good to look at and is easy to use.

Website integration option:

Both of these platforms may be integrated with WordPress sites quite easily. However, this process may be a bit counterintuitive at first. You can create a subscription form in SendinBlue and then embed its source code in your site as a sidebar widget or under your posts. Or otherwise, you may integrate each platform through a third-party solution such as Bloom. OptinMonster and Convert Pro.

Is it good enough?

SendinBlue is a complete online marketing platform that lets you email marketing and do Facebook Ads, advanced email automation, and SMS campaigns. It is also a really good one at standard things such as sending an email. It also offers a free plan and better email designs.

Aweber Review

Aweber is a lot more geared to integrating the email marketing efforts you are making with all other marketing or client acquisition channels. The app integration catalog by Aweber is a lot more impressive, having more than 700 tools. This is an open possibility that includes integrating email lists with the PayPal accounts so that whoever buys from this place may also subscribe to your lists at Aweber. And similarly, you may enable integrations with Eventbrite, Etsy, Facebook, and a few other platforms.

Aweber also comes with a few ready subscription forms that you may add to the Shopify store you, Facebook page, WordPress website, and a lot more.

One greatly blogging-friendly feature in Aweber is the possibility of triggering emails automatically from the blog’s RSS feed. This way, you may also have emails sent in the minute a new blog post goes liver over the blog. Aweber comes with its very own email automation module that is quite similar to that of SendinBlue. In it, you may send many emails based on the actions that a subscriber takes on the other emails. The Aweber mobile app looks a bit more useful than that of SendinBlue that is important if you will do list management on the go.

Design and template:

Aweber has templates that seem a bit too outdated as compared toSendinBlue. You will have to pay a bit more work in making templates in Aweber look interesting and fun. It has templates that are ready for mobile to help you do things on the go.

Ease of use:

The interface in Aweber looks even better. Every option is highly clearly visible. Aweber also highlights all of the main features, i.e., the things you would want to do most likely. The email builder interface is a bit complex, but still, there isn’t anything that is too complicated. It also scores highly when it comes to the reports and tracking of sent emails. You may get a lot of insight into the email’s performance and what may be done to improve the results.

Website integration options:

Both platforms may be integrated with WordPress sites quite easily. The process may be a bit counterintuitive at the start. You can create the subscription form normally in the platform that you choose and then embed the source code in the site you have in the sidebar widget or under your posts.

Which is better?

Aweber has stayed in the email marketing business a bit longer and has users that are from around the world. They are the email first solution that may be great, mainly when you send a lot of emails to the list. You can also greatly benefit from the 700+ integrations with other platforms and tools. But considering the total value that you get, I think that SendinBlue is a better option than Aweber.

Pricing

SendinBlue consists of a free plan. When you are a part of it you may send up to 300 emails each day and you can also serve an infinite number of subscribers.

Aweber charges you on a per-contact basis while SendinBlue charges on a per-email basis. Due to this main difference in the pricing models, it is rather hard to compare each of these head-to-head and then point out which one is cheaper. This mainly depends on how many emails you will be sending and how many people you will be sending these emails to.

If you have a relatively smaller list then you may go well with the free plan in SendinBlue and if you are going to contact the list more often. i.e. multiple times a week then Aweber is fairly cheap.

Trainings & Certifications

SendinBlue:
In the email marketing course offered by SendinBlue, you will learn a lot about the email marketing technique. Upon its completion, you will have complete knowledge on creating an email marketing strategy that effectively builds a lasting engagement and a far stronger relationship with the customers. Final Verdict

SendinBlue is just great for the simple email marketing solution that is mostly for small businesses. It is highly easy to have the account setup and then create the email compared to many other autoresponder services. It is also highly user-friendly for people that may not be that much of tech geeks. If you have a smaller email list and send limited emails per month, blindly go for SendinBlue as you won’t be disappointed. Of course, it is scalable and you can upgrade your plan as your list grows.

Aweber is highly suited for mid-sized B2B companies and the smaller eCommerce suppliers that don’t have big mailing lists. You don’t need sophisticated automation sequences or personalization. The pricing models are great for vendors that do multiple mailings every month but to a reasonably small list. Bigger companies will likely lookout for a highly sophisticated offering or bring in-house marketing automation software.

If you ask me, I’d say that SendinBlue is a much better option than Aweber in terms of Pricing, Features, and overall user experience. It is best for beginners and small to medium-sized businesses.

Conclusion

When it is the case of email marketing tools and email automation, SendinBlue is surely one of the most versatile options you may choose. If you are willing to start investing a lot of money and effort to get started with this email marketing service, SendinBlue is a great option.

However, if you need only a few features, such as email tracking, you must go towards specialized and affordable options without having a steep price option. This includes Aweber and its services.
